Mountain temperatures are in the single digits to teens F this morning, with 5-15 mph winds from the southwest to northwest. Yesterday, there was 1-2” of new snow across most of the advisory area, with 0” in Cooke City and up to 3” in the Centennial Mountains. Today, high temperatures will be in the 20s to low 30s F with 5-15 mph winds from the southwest to northwest. The mountains will receive a trace to 1” of new snow in the next 24 hours.

This morning the Bridger Range has 2-3” of new snow, and elsewhere 4-6” has fallen. Temperatures are teens to low 20s F. Yesterday afternoon, as snowfall began, wind from the southwest increased to 15-25 mph with gusts of 35-60 mph. This morning wind shifted west-northwest and lessened to 5-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Today, snow showers will continue, temperatures will be in the 20s F, and wind will be from the north-northwest at 5-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. By tomorrow morning another 1-3” of snow could fall with a possibility for more in the Bridger Range.

This morning, there is no new snow, temperatures are mid-20s to low 30s F, and wind is southwest-west at 10-25 mph with gusts of 25-35 mph. Today an approaching cold front will bring snow showers and a chance for thunder this afternoon. Temperatures will reach mid-30s to low 40s F with wind out of the southwest at 10-25 mph. Near West Yellowstone light snow is possible this morning, and throughout the forecast area snow will fall late this afternoon through tomorrow. By morning the mountains could get 3-5” of snow with more tomorrow.

There are 3-4” of new snow in the Bridger, Madison, and Gallatin Ranges, and near Cooke City. 1” fell at Lionhead and in Island Park. Winds gusted into the high 40s to 60s mph yesterday afternoon and are now 10-15 mph with gusts of 30-40 mph out of the north and west. Winds today will continue to be moderate and westerly. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with a few snow showers possible (and maybe a little rain at lower elevations) but with no significant accumulation is expected. 

This morning, under cloudy skies, temperatures are near freezing at 8-9,000’ with westerly wind blowing 10-15 mph and gusting to 30 mph. Today will be cloudy and wind will increase from the W-SW at 20-30 mph. It will rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains with 1-2” of snow predicted during the day. Colder weather and snow is on track for the weekend.

Today will be mostly sunny with clouds rolling in this evening. At 5 a.m. temperatures are in the high 20’s F with W-SW wind at 10-20 mph. Wind will remain the same as mountain temperatures climb into the 40’s, just like yesterday. By predawn tomorrow morning there might be drizzle in the valleys and a skiff of snow at higher elevations. Winter will return by the weekend.

Mountain temperatures are in the upper 20s to mid-30s F this morning, with 5-15 mph winds from the west to the north. There is no new snow. Today, under sunny skies, temperatures will climb to the upper 40s to mid-50s F, a few degrees warmer than yesterday. Winds will blow 5-10 mph from the southwest to northwest. We expect cooler temperatures and snow to return during the second half of the week.
