This avalanche likley occured naturally around Feb 1. It was in heavily wind loaded terrain. 1-2 feet deep and ran over 1000 feet vertical. This is an example of the type of terrain where you could trigger a large avalanche on facets or depth hoar. Photo: B. VandenBos
