Mt Ellis Avalanche
A solo skier on
Mt Ellis triggered a large avalanche. He hit a tree and broke his
femur. Another skier in the vicinity heard his yells and initiated a
rescue. Mt Ellis is located south of Bozeman MT in the northern
Gallatin Range. It's a popular destination for backcountry skiers.
